“When Known Hearts Meet”
“When Known Hearts Meet”
“When known hearts meet after a long, long time, the joy derived is so much; even the ocean falls short”
The other day with my family I had a chance to meet or rather made it a point to meet, which was pending since long. We had number of times missed the opportunity to meet these loved ones, who were an extended family.
Over a period of time, I should say almost four decades of friendship and sharing of family values. We till today cherish the days we shared along with the elders in the family. Both being business families did have their ups and downs, so the family moved to a nearby town and have been living there.
My father was a favourite of them and always brought joy to everyone. They had loved his company and he being a foodie was served delicious food by them. They even invited us all for dinners, breakfast or lunch. They in return were invited by us and that was real joy. We all used to go on short trips and picnics.
After they moved from our town it so happened that they lost the elders and we our father. Now, except our mother and their mother all elders have gone.
When we went to their home we were overwhelmingly received and served with Bhel Puri and kachoris ( Indian Snacks) we spent about 4 hours with them, while leaving we did all the pranams, namasthe while hugging my wife our old aunty expressed “Hum itna khush hain ke samundar bhi kam padta hai” ( “it is so joyful that even the ocean falls short”) I was moved by the words and today I present it as Quote for you all.

Sweet and affectionate feelings !! For few it can be only a gesture but for us it’s treasuring the beautiful relationships made and happiness given and received in form of love is the biggest asset!!
Quote just touched the heart

Actually such times were few and rare. Was only child and then parents moved far far away from relatives when I was 5 years old. So I cherish these affairs even though I must use my imagination to experience the love and sense of family described. Circumstances do not allow much of it even with my now grown children and grandchildren. I envy such familial sharing and harmony.

I’m glad you had a wonderful reunion Shiva. It is always so special to meet with family friends and loved ones to reminisce about past memories and make new ones. I can imagine with the passing of some members the occasion may have been bitter-sweet.
I have to say I do not understand the quote.

Thanks Lady Carol, you could grasp the occasion and could imagine the moment to be bitter-sweet.
It was so much of joy that we shared and had some tears flowing too.
Well the Quote is Quantitatively expressed. The joy was so much in terms of Quantity that even the ocean was falling short.
It is to be taken metaphorically.
I hope you understand now.
Have nice week end.

Wow love that quote!! It’s true isn’t it, when known hearts are apart they are still known hearts and when time allows to meet and be together it is such great joy. What a special time you were able to share and cherish. I know the elders that are now gone were smiling down at your reunion and proud that you carry on the tradition. Wishing you many more lovely visits.

OH that’s right…HAPPY BIRTHDAY SHIVA!!!
I hope all your wishes and desires are realized…maybe not all at once!! 😉
Well I’ve been playing, I wrote a song a while ago and I’ve been practicing it a lot. I have been taking classes from YouTube and I haven’t been as diligent about it as I’d like to. I’ve been waiting for the days to grow longer with daylight and then I’m going to take a class in town, after work, once a week. I’ve spent some of this morning watching the birds feed and the squirrels chase each other around…such fun!! They make me laugh. I need to go do some things now, but I will spend some time playing the piano and singing too!
Big Birthday Hugs,

Yes 2018 is, leaving aside 20 and taking only 18 makes 9 and that’s the universal number.
I am hoping the best for me this year.
Somehow I couldn’t get good sleep until early morning hours. It happens so many times. I try to send off all the thoughts coming into my head but still…. do you have a remedy.
Maybe I was dreaming about…. do not know what…😁
I am planning to send you a mail, please check.

Or if you add it all up it’s 11, which is the most intuitive of all numbers!! Yes I have an app on my phone called Calm, it’s a meditation app, and it has sleep stories, I play one each night when I go to bed and it helps me to fall asleep. If I wake up it also has music and different sounds that I might listen to. I also listen to Abraham-Hicks on YouTube and that soothes me to sleep also.
Try them you might like them. Thank you for the email I have not had time to listen but look forward to doing so.
Sleepy hugs,
