Deep Sleep Image 1

Entering My Sanctum Sanctorum

Visits to myself long since oblivion
Though frequent are visits to the shrine
In deep sleep of nights, relaxed day naps
Stressful, restless, tired body and mind enter
Out to come free, energised feeling blissfully fresh
To handle again awful routine
Unwillingly to continue though
Troubles to open many times over
Vigorous attempt to unlock door
Angelic perception signs to calm mundane mind
Not knowing when I enter into deep sleep
I reside in the heart centre of my slumberland
Every time entering my Sanctum Sanctorum

Brilliant words so truly composed, Shiva and what it will not take to enter our Sanctum Sanctorum from the hum drum life and cosily and quietly be in our space. Angelic poem, loved its simplicity.

You can ask them to do the changes or you can totally adopt a theme for yourself from WP available for free.

Cornelia believe it, I was thinking of you to come and read this post as I know you would grasp it in a proper perspective. Yes do read again to soak your heart; very rightly said.

My mother was very serious last week but surprisingly she has recovered and we are all happy about it. Nature has it’s own way of doing and handling things, you know.

No, I am not coming to the US nor do I have any plans right now. Yes I had commented on Tom & Audrey’s blog jokingly that I will take the next convenient free flight to come as they take us all on a trip to USA free, I mean they show and explain things so well.

Do come again, shall discuss further on the post “Minds together”….💞

Change things up, shift your focus to that which makes you happy and you will attract more of it into your life. Achieve you in Sanctum Sanctorum while awake and active…find your bliss!! Very thought provoking Shiva.

Deb! In a way you are right , to change and focus the awful routine and that too while awake.
May be it leads to bit of a confusion also.
      Let me explain step-wise .
Take the first line …long since oblivion. Myself, here means, the self , the soul.
Though frequent are visits to the shrine … means whenever we go to sleep. we go into our self and again come back with full energy and that blissful feeling enjoyed during the stay there.
The awful part is totally opposite to what the bliss is within us, so unwillingly to continue until death. Sleep is a death that we experience on a daily basis during which we are in total Bliss. Although we attempt several times over to go into deep sleep ( No sweet Dreams here please) it may not be possible, but when an Angel gives the sign to calm down the worldy or mundane mind, then there shall be permission granted to enter.

Of the three states of consciousness that we humans have are the Awake state, state of Dream and Deep Sleep. In the Awake state the ‘Self’ resides in the forehead and is aware of what is going in the outer world. In the Dream state the ‘Self’ knows nothing of the present outer world and resides in the throat region. In deep Sleep state the ‘Self’ resides in the Heart region. You suddenly go into that state without your knowledge. I have personally experienced it going there several times, maybe you may experience it also, but it is difficult to recognize, you may tend to get up suddenly from bed. Once you go into it, you are free of all pains, displeasure, anxiety, relationships, love, hate everything. It shall wake you back on its own without your attempt again.
That is why I say it is My Sanctum Sanctorum. The most sacred place.
I hope you could grasp the words now.
I wanted someone to tickle me with this… Hahaha
      Hugs
      Shiva

Very interesting Shiva, thank you for that explanation it helps a lot. When I was young, around 8, I got very sick one night, and I stopped breathing. I had an out of body experience. I could see me lying on my parents bed and I could hear them talking about what they should do. They were wondering if they should call 911, my mother is a nurse, so she was reviving me. What I remember is floating above the bed watching everything and feeling so peaceful. I wanted to tell them not to worry, that I was fine and everything is ok. It was the most beautiful, peaceful, loving, calming, experience I have ever had and it will never leave me. It was Bliss! It was my Sanctum Sanctorum. So I totally grasp the words. I think this might be a fourth state of consciousness.
Because of that experience I am not afraid to die, because I know how wonderful it feels and I look forward to it when it does come my way.
        I thought I heard you giggle!! 😉

Before further explaining, I would want to tell why I took the word ‘Sanctum Sanctorum’ as the residing place of the self. You have visited a temple, now, where the God is placed is called the Sanctum Sanctorum . It is basically a room like structure with very small door to enter. We have to bow and go inside. The place is sacred and sanctity is maintained. Just to give that place also for my own self I used it.
It will not be difficult to explain you further as you say you have had out of body experience and ‘It was the most beautiful, peaceful, loving, calming, experience I have ever had and it will never leave me’ Yes that is fourth state of consciousness and is called ‘Turiya’. you can get reference about it in the link i gave you. I think I shall once again mention it here:

          https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Three_Bodies_Doctrine_(Vedanta)#Sthula_sarira_-_gross_body

It is so nice and is not ordinary to have experienced that state ..’I have ever had and it will never leave me. It was Bliss! It was my Sanctum Sanctorum.’ It is a past life trait…blessed are you Dear Deb. Only those can speak and come across such subjects. Look forward to the moment of enlightenment.

Now, let us both hear giggle.
          Amen!

We too bow as we approach the altar of God in Church. Since God is a part of us then we would have a Sanctum Sanctorum, you are so deep Shiva, very much like the third state. I enjoy your knowledge.
I feel I have moments of enlightenment now and they give me goosebumps!!
            Yes, let’s giggle!! Hehe

Even Jews in their Synagogue they say it is the Sanctum Sanctorum for most central part of it.
Why I referred to the temple is, the whole building is the gross part and you cannot get to see the God directly it is covered by a pillar or something, you enter inside then go more deep inside then there you see the room where God is placed. If you want to enter the Sanctum Sanctorum you have to bow as the height of the door is too low.
I am happy you are getting enlightened and goosebumps too… giggle, hehe

Is that not true that we all have the three states. It is a science of its own. They are proved bare facts and have a scientific approach.
Well Marta the experiences that You have about the Deep Sleep is just after you have got up from sleep and You have experienced it but knowing it now in the Awake State. The Deep Sleep State is independent of its own like the other two. They cannot be intermingled. Only when realise that Self ( Your Sanctum Sanctorum) is in the three states You shall know You are Enlightened.

Greetings Shiva! Love your poetry and prose. Inspiring Uplifting words calling us to Peace. I saw this blog post and was curious about the name Shiva. My name DeBorah is in the Bible book of Judges chapters Four and Five. DeBorah was a Judge over Israel. There is the Song of DeBorah however the tune has been lost to time. Does your name have special significance and special meaning?

Thanks DeBorah for responding to the call peacefully.
Right now I am hearing the Shiva Chant link that you have sent and responding to your esteemed comment. Yes these chants are in praise of lord Shiva.
It was information for me that DeBorah was a Judge, maybe sometime I shall come over to know more about.
Shiva is one among the three sons of Mother Shakti who is the almighty and the supreme creator. All the three have a job to do Brahma the creator who has limited powers to create this world only and not the creation itself. Vishnu the preserver of the creation and Shiva the destroyer all go by cycles in this world and is ever true. Creation, Preservation and Destruction is universal law. In regard to Shiva there are other things to tell but it would take time and patience to know. He is the most innocent of all Gods but at times by opening the third eye can destroy all creation.
      Thanks for asking DeBorah.
      Amen!
