Last night I got to see the Movie “Blood Diamond” on the TV. I was browsing the channels, when I saw this movie being played which I had seen sometime back, I got it and stuck myself to continue seeing it. In the movie we come across the Diamond business as a whole to see where actually it is extracted from the earth in Africa. How the under-world operates and criminal activities go as a routine. Terrorism, Murder, Extortion, Refugees threatened to death, explosions in series all in one, very well organised underworld. One who has seen the movie shall come to know what I am telling.

In the movies what we see is much greater and much worse is in real life most the of times.

The previous day I happened to read Maniparna’s Etheree which I was astonished and rather inspired about the Etherre. I commented on her blog that its tempting me to write an Etheree, so she replied why should I not try one. Being in the aura, I kept thinking on this Diamond thing.

 Today words came flowing from the top and this Etheree for YOU ALL.

Etheree was information for me which I got to know from Maniparna’s Blog. Go check this below post link, she has written this award winning poem “Survival”. She is beautiful and writes beautiful poems.

Etheree

The poetry form, Etheree, consists of 10 lines of 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 syllables. Etheree can also be reversed and written 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1. Get creative and write an Etheree with more than one verse, but follow suit with an inverted syllable count.

Reversed Etheree: 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1

Double Etheree: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 10, 9, 8, 7, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1

…Triple Etheree, Quadruple Etheree, and so on!

 

You may now see the movie “Blood Diamond” and then read this Etheree or vice versa.

        The meaning about my name… I think it is only the name of a flower:

        The name is thus usually taken to mean something along the lines of “one ruler”, “autocrat”, “eternal ruler” or “ever powerful”.
        This is what Widipedia sais:
        “It is a common name in many Western societies. It is also a popular given name in Japan. Erica is also the name of a genus of approximately 860 species of flowering plants in the family Ericaceae, commonly known as “heaths” or “heathers” in English”
        They have some explanations about the first and second part of the name but that is silly complicated. haha!!!

          I was also seeing for it in Wikipedia while you were there I suppose.
          But the which suits to you that I found is, it is a feminine name given for Ever Queen and Ever Powerful.
          It also means – She Knows. So that is right for you, cause you know of so many things.

    I like your poem and the thought it expresses…human blood spilled for decadence. Drugs and human souls could easily fill in the blanks where the world ‘diamond’ sits. It doesn’t require wealth to be decadent or to thoughtlessly and vicariously, sacrifice the blood of others for personal pleasure.

    This is quite moving, Shiva. I have seen Blood Diamond and found the whole thing appalling. I just now read about “bush meat”, the selling of rare chimpanzees, butchered brutally for food. These practices and the people that engage in them for money sicken me. I could despair at humanity’s brutality if I thought about it more than I do. Lovely pictures of the diamonds, though.
