Jumping Jumping on the mattress

Hitting Hitting getting hit by the pillow

Going Going around the house

Playing Playing hide & seek

Enjoying Enjoying holidays with siblings

Having Having no past no future

Laughing Laughing stomach full Now

Hahaha! Hahaha!! Hahaha!!!

Jumping on Mattress 2.jpg

Children always live in the Now. They exhibit inner joy and bliss.  As time passes by they get attached to all sorts of relationships and worldly matters. Thereby creating a trivial past and dreaming of a bombastic future. So, as man grows he slowly forgets living in the Now.

I personally feel animals and birds live in the Now and therefore have formed a unique life way of living. It seems they enjoy life more than we humans.

Hello! Lately I have bought a new mattress, thinking that it would give some comfort to my back. It seems to say to me, to live in the Now.

Remembering childhood days of jumping, hitting and playing on mattress made me write this post. Hope you All enjoy as much as we did…..

Hahaha!!!

There is such a lot of fun and joy in children, we need to constantly observe them and know what life wants to tell us. We tend to harshly avoid it. Isnt? 🙂

Not only remember it, keep doing it every now and then. A good pillow fight, or jumping on the mattress, it always makes me laugh and gives so much joy. The person who says ‘I am to old to do so’, well, I believe misses out on a lot of fun 😉

What a wonderful and uplifting post Shiva. I love the poem that so mimics the exuberance of children. Just the way they are jumping on your new mattress. 😊.
You might soon need to buy another one.

Living in the Now, yes that is a daily practice. Quite necessary for our health, both mind and body. Every day seems to make it easier as I pull myself up when worries want to take over. Wonder whether we should put a mattress on the floor and just jump? 🦋😉

Oooh Miriam! I have taken a life time to buy a new good mattress but I do not mind buying another one if we as children can jump like that. 😉🙄
You are giving a clue to drag the mattress on the floor and start jumping when worries and stress would take over, I recommend it and vote.
You know Osho recommends this type of meditation, its called Whirling Round and Jumping till exhaustion. Even Sufi Saints do it to attain spiritual trance. Now our difference will be only of the mattress. 😉😁
How is it to see at least as a trial with music on…🎼🎶💞

Hi Shiva, I really had missed you with your uplifting writing and I’m glad to see you here after a while. Hope all is well with you. Living in the NOW, has become my daily practice as I am aging, I experience it with much more awareness. When we are younger we just live the moment without thinking of the moment. Well that’s the difference with aging. Is it because we are aware of the fact that our time is in some way limited? For me it is that I become more and more spiritual in my age, taking much JOY of gratitude and awareness. Therefore I love aging, Oh am I going off the subject now? Wish you a splendid week, filled with much laughter.

Oooh Cornelia! Hello yes I did miss you all for so many weeks now. I kept thinking you and some of my most good friends here.
      Thanks for those uplifting words.
All was not well with me, but I was managing some how. You know, as you age the body seems not to cooperate with all things like before. It demands a bit of more caring, thereby puts more pressure on the thoughts and the mind. You shall not know stress has started acting, no matter we are spiritual and know the things of body and mind. It plays its role secretly. I hope you understand what I am telling. It shall make you forget the NOW. So be cautious on that.
I am so much happy that you have practiced living in the NOW, it is a great achievement.
You have observed and told the simple fact that while we are young we just live the moment. As we grow we are aware of the moments but still tend to forget being in the NOW.
Leave aside your aging, you love it is the most appreciable one. Most people get the opportunity to become spiritual but do not get the right path while aging. Blessed are You to analyze.
Meanwhile I had visited your blog and had browsed the posts. But did not endorse my presence. You know I would assimilate the posts and write my comments. I have missed them. I shall come in a couple of days to be part of them.
I am enjoying laughter with blogger friends on this post. I am really grateful to ALL of YOU

Shiva, forgiveness, for not replying to your extensive reply, I had been without internet connection for a while, which was a curse and a gift. By now I am hoping that you feeling and dealing better with aging of your body, sorry I can’t say ” it shall pass”, but maybe the way you are dealing with it may change. Anyhow, it all is even more of a challenge to be in the NOW. The body is your “dress”, the mind is what conquers. Wishing you great days dear blogging friends with that thought.

Birds have their own languages. Having to understand them to be blissful that which points your spirit toward God is no ordinary thing. Only blessed ones are able to gauge it.

Shiva, this is a wonderful poem caputuring the fun of childhood through the repititions at the start mimicing the actions, reinforing the joy as well as lending a light child-like quality to the words. Ahh..this brought back great memories of jumping on beds, playing ‘pirates’ around the house and recreating this play with my son when he was young! (Although I refrained from jumping on the bed but always up for a pillow fight!)
