Hello! You Both!! Mind! & Body!

Hello! You Both!! Mind! & Body!

My salutations to your friendship
you both, have been such good friends
anybody, for that matter would appreciate and applause.

Having been my guests all through
been so close to each other
you act, like as if you are the big hosts.

You work by the seconds
make know of your after effects to one another
bring happiness and sorrow to each other.

You are more concerned, of your own self
having to reside in me,
shown all causations of pleasure and pain.

All through you have been doing and acting your ways
having not cared, what shall be
repercussions on me.

Over a period, you caused stress, strain
invite certain diseases and mental problems
aren’t you not fed up?

Now, I have come to know, that
I have been taken for a ride by you both
this will not do, henceforth.

I now want, you to listen to me
you have not heard of Meditation and Mindfulness
I now teach you, some lessons on that.

I pray, you obey me
as I am giving you both the conducive atmosphere
you needn’t worry, I go by your ways to mend.

Oh! Body, you are constructed of the five great elements
you mind, you are made of space and wind
therefore, are such your acts.

In the present moment
this is what you are to do
keep away past, think not of future, strictly.

Enough of wandering
in the mundane world
find solitude, that shall bring joy.

Realise! Who you are
you are not what you were a second back
you inhere within me.

Therefore, practice the methods of meditation
mindfulness is what shall bring you into the path
freedom is what shall be achieved.

I am the source of your existence
derivation of joy is from me
I am the bliss.

After death I get rid of you,
shall leave the planet
who knows, if I shall get you both back.

Now is the time to know,
cleanse, yourselves to capture back
the kingdom of silence, in which is all and complete.

Mind karma, gather blessings, seek the Master
change is what is needed, balance and transform

Something inside of me has been deeply touched by your graceful lines. The relationship between body and mind is brilliant, it feels like they are buddies and need to be reminded to do a better job.

Cornelia you are already an adept, it is natural that you feel so. The lines are written from the stand point of the Inner Being or the Soul or what ever one calls Yes that something is that Inner Being what has been deeply touched.
It is that relationship between Mind & Body, being buddies they act their ways and as you say they are to be reminded and sometimes warned.
Don’t you think it is they who are to be freed from the bondage.
      Thanks

Indeed , you are so right, Shiva. Well yes in a way they need to freed from their bondage if it happens in a compassionate way, so they would not feel being angry about themselves, if that makes sense what I’m saying. Thank you for your reflections, Shiva, have a great week.

Shiva, thank you again for a deep and searching poem.
“The body speaks the mind” is a saying and also a book. How true though that we need to find harmony within; let body and mind cooperate.

Miriam! Thanks “The Body speaks the Mind” and it is vice versa. They have to cooperate with each other, help each other and move to higher levels of living and be nearer to the soul.
You know the lines are written from the stand point of the Soul within. Unless and until they become one with the inner being the Bondage continues.
      Have a Nice Day!

Shiva, this reminds me of the many enlightened masters I have studied from Krishnamurti to Meher Baba to Rajneesh. It is so important to reflect on the collaboration between mind and body and to help them support each other. A poem is a lovely way to communicate this concept. So soothing, too.

Beth I am happy to know that you have studied from the enlightened masters. That is why you could and and can grasp the ideas behind and also that are intrinsic in my writings.
Osho Rajneesh is my favorite, I love the way he presents and his thoughts that are much ahead of time.
It feels so good to interact with a person who is versed in the field and of the same wavelength.
I just thought to present the relationship of Body & Mind in a different way. Thanks for the lovely comment.
I only hope you do not miss the other ones….. just previous to this is on Meditation and Salvation too.

    What a great post Shiva!

How simply you tamed both naughty, tantrum throwing kids. ☺

We all need to live that way. I guess it should be taught in school to little nurturing minds. How to control and live life in a more appropriate way.

    Great writing 👍

Yes nurturing them is so important. You say it is to be taught at school level, I think that is absolutely right. I feel you are inspiring me to write a rhyme on that for the kids.

Meanwhile I feel you have not read my one favorite poem “Celestial Embrace”you shall love to read it, here is the link.

Very nice prosetry, deeply reflective. I like the dialogue you establish with your mind and body, how you tell them what to do. I find this poem very original. I also believe in karma. This is one of the poems I first posted on my blog, even though it is totally different because it is Mind and Soul, but the body is perhaps implicitly there: https://momentsbloc.wordpress.com/2016/06/14/mind-and-soul/

Marta first let me apologize for not responding to your beautiful comments on my posts.
Actually I was to divert attention for more than a week and could not afford to blog.
Thanks for this comment. So you now have the word Prosetry in mind to use it when required.
Yes the Mind and Body are two different actors and we have to give the right direction to have the play presented rightfully.
Your link what you have mentioned doesn’t take us to the post as you have typed continuous. You always give it a para, so that the link is established.
Anyway I shall read it. Thanks
