Body Experiences..

Body Experiences..

Pain, Burning, Itching, Pricking, Piercing, Shooting, Aching and..

Normally everyone experiences all these in their body, maybe in various degrees. Some may have had it to the extremes. Excruciating pains caused due to accidents, operations, illness, chronic disease, cervical and lumbar spondylitis, arthritis and so on…
To forego or forgo these experiences is not easy at all. I have had all these experiences and still having some chronic pains in the body for last few decades.
My purpose of this Post is an attempt to share mine and for others to share their experiences here for all of us to know how to bear these body experiences and how could we forego them or lessen or abstain or even make an end to it.
I have few suggestions, as far as possible be away from pain killer tablets or least do not make them a habit at all. Slowly and steadily train the mind to accept. The mind is such, it listens to what you say and ask. People with chronic pains in body have done it and the body has listened to them. Look to animals got hurt; they care a hell, and in few days they are alright. We as pet lovers take extra care for their well being.
Learning to meditate on our bliss shall definitely help. Knowing and convincing to self that this shall also pass is one more aspect. Adopt natural means like Exercise, Yoga, Swimming, Walking, Nutritious Diet, Holistic means,  Naturopathy, Drinking as much Water, Breathing more and more fresh Air,  Acu Pressure, Acu Puncture, Massage, Oil Baths, Sun Baths, Sauna, Home Remedies, Music, Visit places of Serene beauty and so on..
Being away from doctor, finding solutions to Body Experiences..
Rest all your experiences to share in the comments. Please!

I have been quite lucky so far but my late father used to have terrible pain in his back from heavy work he done when he was younger and he used to wear something to tighten his back up to ease the pain. He was actually very strong because he must have been in more pain than he let on.

I agree, Shiva. I try to avoid painkillers at all times; I feel strongly that pain is a warning sign that we should always heed. Otherwise we can disguise pain and do further damage to those parts that are screaming out for our attention.

I 100% vote to this Mick. There is no doubt that pain is a warning sign for us to heed. There are very few doctors who administer this prophecy.
      Thanks

I agree with the Holistic approach and try to employ it whenever possible. I’ve tried to overcome or at least ease my arthritis, joint pains, stomach aches and headaches through exercise, Vitamin Therapy, eating more fruits and vegetables, Juicing and next year I plan to take part in Bikram Yoga classes taught by a co-worker.

In my case the joint pain and headaches are due to high blood pressure and having a very stressful job. I believe once I retire either in 2018 or 2019 many of my aches and pains will disappear. Sometimes I think to myself that the aches and pains can’t all be do to getting older and for me I think a good part of it is a hostile work environment. That’s why I’m looking forward to Retirement. Lord knows I need the rest and I need to take back control of my life. However because I still work I must take pain killers in order for me to perform my job. It would be nice to stay home in bed but that is not reality. I just try to limit the amount of pills. Hot baths with Epsom Salts is also good for headaches and joint pain.

I have been …. would I say lucky? But I hardly have physical pains, maybe mental, but rarely physical. So, I don’t have much to share in this regard.

Oh dear; I hope you find peace in your experiences as you have adviced in your text above “Slowly and steadily train the mind to accept”.

Fortunately, your advice can be applicable to other areas of life.

    Thank you Shiva for sharing.

We must allow our brain and body to heal pain, trouble and suffering. Natural means are more effective in treating chronic illness and meditation plays a grand role in the treatment of mental disorders.
This article is beneficial to acquire good health and positive thinking. Brain learning of knowledge chapters should be prescribed in school system. Thank you.

Good advice Shiva. Thank you 🙏
When I call people’s attention to their body, I ask them to notice the sensations they feel, rather than the level of pain or discomfort. When we label something as “pain” it can bring more negative energy to it and keep us from becoming detached… and therefore free in our minds.

Thank you Shiva. What I am touching on is a difference between the accepted thinking in the West and non Dualistic thinking that arose in the East and Asia. Here in the USA, we think in terms of good and bad, right and wrong, happy and sad etc etc. Thus is dualist thinking. In the tradition of yoga that I learned, it’s about embracing the whole range between one end of the spectrum and the other. When we open our minds to everything in between one extreme and the other, we discover a whole range of feelings and adjectives that we were not aware of before.there is space between either or.
This is the place to be one more aware of. The in between. The subtlety. The details of sensations.
When we tune in with awareness, rather than adding a familiar label, we can expand our consciousness.

The expansion of our consciousness effects or conditions.
Could you please in another few lines explain how this approach is effective in the present context of this particular Post.

An interesting post and a mantra I subscribe to…I am lucky so far I get A twinge now and again but no pain and I just go for a walk if I do..Walking frees my mind and you can feel so much around you when you walk just slowly if that is all you can do. Ginger is good if you have pain which needs a little help…But positive thoughts also banish those aches..A good post Shiva 🙂

Yes walking also is also one most important tool. I had left to mention it although I keep walking on my terrace or take a stroll. I would never miss a swim having got a chance. The ginger part – there are many like that in every kitchen. We can call it as Home Remedies. I shall edit the post later during the day and add these you have mentioned. You are a woman having such enormous experience. Banishing those aches through positive thoughts is one Mantra to include.

Medicines do not build our immunity, body has its own mechanism to build it. We have to give chance for it to build mainly through what we eat, exercise regularly, yoga and pranayama and other means mentioned above.

    Hello Shiva,
Most pain I’ve experienced over the years has been in my heart – caused by people who deliberately set out to hurt or humiliate me. An effective remedy has been prayer, a change of attitude on my part, whole-hearted worship and laughter!
Whenever I need an immediate and fast-acting boost, I set up my own healing session by watching a few episodes of “Friends”. Works wonders! 😊 😁

What a lovely n open n frank thoughts! Was literally into it!
Personal experience tells me it’s the mental affliction that slowly kills us. Mind n body are two sides of the same coin.
The moment we r down mentally or physically, pick up the phone n call up a good friend , who can really pep you up, I do so n that has always helped me.
My parents were strong n always cheerful, so much so , I came to know my dad had cancer a few years later after he was no more. What a cheerful man He Was! n so Was My Mom!
    I was devastated !
My siblings were in a near fatal accident but bounced back after 6 months n half a dozen surgeries.
The solace I sought was in prayers n that helped me heal others n self.
Where ever you are n in whatever state you are PRAY. n have complete faith in God. !
