I am feeling it is neither a Poem nor a Prose. We can name it as “Prosetry”.
I have seen and read so many blogs and many bloggers do write this way. Whatever that comes to mind we write and can write. So go writing “PROSETRY”……
I think its the best way of expressing oneself and its the best way to make know and convey your message to the readers. Sometimes writers are in a fix to write prose or poetry and maybe they remain in a dilemma and shall tend not to write anything, instead adopt this new style “Prosetry”.
I went into the details to capture some thoughts and landed in the below mentioned link. Please go read.
I think we BLOGGERS can popularize this way of expression and writing – “PROSETRY”
I have included this word into my Computer dictionary, if you like it you may do so.
The ‘se’ in PROSETRY has to be pronounced as in Possession. I hope you understand. So let us make it popular.

One of my friends Ranjeeta Nath Ghai who is inspired has already written three Prosetry after reading this post, I give the following links to go see what she has written.
When we fought with life so often at one point we are so closely connected that we actually should consider to fight together and not against each other.

What you are saying is true, we actually fight together with each other, Hahaha. Otherwise life shall pull us on one side and we shall pull against it. Or it happens like this also, one of them may tend to be passive and the other shall become helpless, it cannot fight and there shall be no fight. So, both have to fight together and with each other.
Some things are controversially contradictory. I hope you understand what I mean. 🙂

I actually thought we needed to fight allied with life and not against life. But of course, your words are a truth we need to get more aware about! The separation caused by some political heads show even more how important and desired a union is!

Oh Shiva first I love your new word Prosetry…brilliant! Second don’t we all start out fighting with life and then once we get older and wiser we decide to appreciate life and work together with life!! It’s a shame we couldn’t be wiser when we’re younger. The elders always would advise us but being young and foolish we did not listen to them…now we understand. Now we are the elders trying to explain life to the youngsters…but just like us they have to learn for themselves!! I love you’re animation at the end too…so fun!!

Oh Deb!I am happy that you loved the new word Prosetry. Actually I was thinking how all will receive it. I am overwhelmed that the word is being received with full acceptance. I have seen many do write opening their heart and the words just come out from the mind and heart so fluently that it becomes readable and it becomes enjoyable. Some tend not to write at all in the fear of what it’s going to be a Prose or Poetry, and poor thing their feelings and thoughts are left in vain.
So ‘Prosetry’ shall help everyone’s feelings, thoughts, perceptions and introspections to come to light. Don’t you think so Deb?
I am amazed how everyone reacts to the lines in their own ways and feelings. I remember you checking me on that to receive it more delightfully as my writings are received in more than the ways I had thought. It is rather a feather in my cap, its all by your graceful thought.
We all have conflicts in life, life demands of us on something and we tend to do something else and the conflict starts. We also struggle to fulfill our desires and when they are difficult to attain, we struggle still more in spite of all the conflicts. As you have said –‘don’t we all start out fighting with life and then once we get older and wiser we decide to appreciate life and work together with life!!’ – so our intentions are different and the goals we had to set are different, that is why the elders had to come in between to give that awesome piece of advice.
So life keeps on putting us in the right track, inviting us to think and act in a proper way, putting odds in front of us to jump upon (not to stumble and fall) and cross. In the process we become experienced and attain the knowledge. That is where the maturity comes and as you say –‘now we understand. Now we are the elders trying to explain life to the youngsters…but just like us they have to learn for themselves!!’
So Life goes on Deb! Like this ….and that is why the last line.

I find that life for me has been a rollercoaster. Sometimes I fight situations that are out of my hand in life, and other times, I embrace it and try to learn and grow from my trials in life. Ultimately, life will keep trucking along, so I have realized it is best to not fight with it. Instead, try and enjoy every moment of it. (Even the bad times can teach us something.)

Ipuna how can you hear it, the word ‘PROSETRY’is a new invention, hahaha.
This style of writing is adopted since long, I have only given it a new name. They used to say it as ‘Prose-Poem’. For details refer the the Wikipedia link I have given.😃

Very original and beautifully expressed. I like the personification of Life as if it were a friend-enemy with whom you had tournaments and, in the end, so tired of fighting with each other, you take it as a companion and the decision is to reach harmony. Love the term prosetry.

Oh Shiva first I love your new word Prosetry…brilliant! Second don’t we all start out fighting with life and then once we get older and wiser we decide to appreciate life and work together with life!! It’s a shame we couldn’t be wiser when we’re younger. The elders always would advise us but being young and foolish we did not listen to them…now we understand. Now we are the elders trying to explain life to the youngsters…but just like us they have to learn for themselves!! I love you’re animation at the end too…so fun!!

Oh Deb!I am happy that you loved the new word Prosetry. Actually I was thinking how all will receive it. I am overwhelmed that the word is being received with full acceptance. I have seen many do write opening their heart and the words just come out from the mind and heart so fluently that it becomes readable and it becomes enjoyable. Some tend not to write at all in the fear of what it’s going to be a Prose or Poetry, and poor thing their feelings and thoughts are left in vain.
So ‘Prosetry’ shall help everyone’s feelings, thoughts, perceptions and introspections to come to light. Don’t you think so Deb?
I am amazed how everyone reacts to the lines in their own ways and feelings. I remember you checking me on that to receive it more delightfully as my writings are received in more than the ways I had thought. It is rather a feather in my cap, its all by your graceful thought.
We all have conflicts in life, life demands of us on something and we tend to do something else and the conflict starts. We also struggle to fulfill our desires and when they are difficult to attain, we struggle still more in spite of all the conflicts. As you have said –‘don’t we all start out fighting with life and then once we get older and wiser we decide to appreciate life and work together with life!!’ – so our intentions are different and the goals we had to set are different, that is why the elders had to come in between to give that awesome piece of advice.
So life keeps on putting us in the right track, inviting us to think and act in a proper way, putting odds in front of us to jump upon (not to stumble and fall) and cross. In the process we become experienced and attain the knowledge. That is where the maturity comes and as you say –‘now we understand. Now we are the elders trying to explain life to the youngsters…but just like us they have to learn for themselves!!’
So Life goes on Deb! Like this ….and that is why the last line.

OK Deb! you will see what fun we all shall have. Only thing I need some time to prepare all the five ones at a stretch and post them as per schedule, cause I would not want to do them one by one as I cannot do that, my personal schedules are erratic and you know that.

There’s no time limit Shiva, do it whenever you like. I do know of time limits and busy schedules so even if you don’t do all 5 that’s ok too. Only do it if it’s fun to you, not if it’s a chore. I am sure that you shall make it interesting and enjoyable, you always do!

I find that life for me has been a rollercoaster. Sometimes I fight situations that are out of my hand in life, and other times, I embrace it and try to learn and grow from my trials in life. Ultimately, life will keep trucking along, so I have realized it is best to not fight with it. Instead, try and enjoy every moment of it. (Even the bad times can teach us something.)

This style of writing is adopted since long, I have only given it a new name. They used to say it as ‘Prose-Poem’. For details refer the the Wikipedia link I have given.😃
So you may start writing Prosetry.😀

I think, you mean “prosetry”…a nice coinage. But this kind of poetry, with an open form, no typical meter or rhyme, is better known as free verse… 🙂

English writers have recognised it as Prose -Poem; after a bit of research I have concluded it as Prosetry. This form of writing is getting very popular, one can express the thoughts with ease.

Very original and beautifully expressed. I like the personification of Life as if it were a friend-enemy with whom you had tournaments and, in the end, so tired of fighting with each other, you take it as a companion and the decision is to reach harmony. Love the term prosetry.
