the Gods

the Gods
Have the Gods brought
You on earth?
Were the Gods present while
You took birth?
Are the Gods still there and
You are around them?
Had the Gods planned
You what are?
I am in Love
with you
In return
You have been compassionate
in love with Me
Please wait, I am bit busy
Trying to find
the Gods
I am scared
the Gods
may take you away from Me
I am trying to send
the Gods
Make them intoxicated
into their own divinity to
leave us both alone
in a place where
no time no ageing
For I want You
not to part with Me
We would escape from
the Gods
Enduring stopped
in everlasting immortality like
the Gods
Me and You
Be together in eternity as
the Gods

Eventually the current week in India is About the ‘HOLI’ – the festival of Colours, which is connected to the Gods of Love KAMA and RATI
The whole story is very fascinating and the fervour and celebration of this festival reaches to its peak in the five days from the Full Moon called ‘Holi Hunnime’ or ‘Holi Ki Purnima’
KAMA, the GOD of LOVE

Awesome words so brilliantly composed Shiva and true Holi is a festival of love and colors of passion and beauty which u have narratively fashioned so well.

Thanks Ben for your valued comment.
These lines are a sort of poetic thoughts one would want to express.
Ben! You are absolutely right in what you are telling that everything is one. God is everywhere around us you say, I say God is within of us also. It is for us to know about it. It comes by spiritual Sadhana, Shravana, Satsang, Scriptural Readings and so on. People who know about Self Realization can only talk like how you have expressed. I hope you have definitely done some Sadhana on those lines and I am very happy having to met You.
Let our discussions be On.

By the way Brigid, how did you find the lines of this Post. I am wondering everyone is talking about the images of Holi I have inserted.

Cornelia I think you have gone through the links I have given and are commenting. I am very happy if you have done. Yes it is. Thanks.
I could not know what did you feel about my lines. I normally write my lines and then search for the suitable images and videos, this being the week for Holi it was appropriate to insert those images and links. If you could throw light upon that I am blessed. Thank You

The lines are very different to what I would write but that is the beauty of our poetry being so individual! Your images are classical beauties, they please the eye while your words intrigue. But then I don’t know much about poetry, just totally enjoy writing it.

meeting your soulmate and then parting is painful….even though the love is eternal separations are always painful… look at Radha krishna…an i bet stealing a little time from Gods and wishing the time stood still is something all lovers have experienced… except that it doesn’t and we are left with sweet memories to last us till we meet again and faith a trust in each other to last through the separation. knowing that the other lives and exists only for us. and no amount of temptation can steal his/her affection away…
your these lines…
I am bit busy
Trying to find
the Gods
I am scared
the Gods
may take you away from Me
I am trying to send
the Gods
Make them intoxicated
into their own divinity to
leave us both alone
in a place where

For I want You
not to part with Me
…..explains fully well the anxieties associated with parting with the person you love.

Ranjini I do not know why but some how it came to me to write this pertaining to the Gods and Love.
It was ready and before I could publish I usually see to inserting some things relevant and suitable.
It so happened that I got all the images and eventually it was Holi. So the pictures.
Hope you are enjoying Holi.
You know the words, you know life, you know love , so you know what and how to express.
You more know why and what.
Thanks Ranju

Oh I thoroughly enjoyed Holi……… was all technicolor by the end. Though I’m not much find of gulal as it gives me asthma and sinus…….and I prefer fast colour they may take a day or two to wash off but not much of health problems with that….

I imagined it as well that you are immersed in all the colours.
For that, you do lot of Nadi Shodana Pranayama it helps a lot. Anu Loma Viloma Pranayama anytime and anywhere will give best results. Try and see. Tell me the aftermath.

You analyse things better. Very few have this quality.
True the lines take to the ancient times and bring back to present.
Yes it does out forth questions and one has to ponder. Haha.😃
The links give a better picture about Holi.

Thanks Shivangi.
Actually there goes a lot of research on finding them and it does takes my time and I enjoy doing it, in the process I gain lot of knowledge and insight.
Thanks for the Holi wishes it is not belated as we are having the color day today. In Karnataka it is played for five days and each place has it’s day fixed since long.
In that case you have missed many of my posts. Refer my previous ones when you have time. I only feel some good friends should visit and read them. I do not go on telling this to all. I hope you understand.
By the way please mention me the favorite posts of yours , I have missed reading yours, I want to read them. Yours are something special always.

Well wasn’t little Ms. Aphrodite a jealous and vain thing!! And not very nice, I might add. I never had that opinion of her until now, reading about Eros & Psyche! I love that you are always celebrating something and the colorful traditions you have. Happy Celebration!! Your poem most definitely captures the essence of Eros & Psyche….well done Shiva!! Just be sure not to become more beautiful than Aphrodite!! 😉
