My Interview with Jacqueline
Jacqueline is one of the most fascinating women I have met. Months back she requested me to have my interview, it so happened I could not give my time to her and requested her to postpone it for a while. She was kind enough to give the time.
My mother was seriously ill and I had to take care of her and back in India during November last year the demonetization of 500 and 1000 rupees currency notes affected business and normal life here. Due to other reasons the interview was getting delayed. But Jacqueline was keen on me to send the answers to her questions. I am really grateful to her for this.
I have learnt from this Blog World through persons like Jacqueline. She being busy, in the other day to day activities of her own, conducts various activities on her blog. A person with such great gratitude is to be adored and thanked. All for the good of others she writes Posts, Poetry, and Links to Blogs. Throws lavish Blog parties frequently, by which so many friends meet and build new relationships. She also gives an opportunity to expose talents and introduces people to a larger audience by conducting interviews.
Now that, its an opportunity to know more about me and my thoughts and my philosophy of life, please go read my interview on her blog as I would want all my friends to go to her and read it. I would not want to re-blog it also for the same reason. I give here below the link.

I made it to reading the interview over my phone… (which is a pain… lol) It is great to get to know more about you. It is also interesting how we all got in touch with the blogging world.
I absolutely go with you regarding Facebook. I have an account too but basically only use my author page and that only for spreading what I publish on my blog. Not my world either.
I also observed something similar about some bloggers when they start blogging and want to get followers. They like and even leave a comment in order that you follow them. Some only follow you in order that you follow back and if you don’t they unfollow again. What they don’t understand is that a blog is not Twitter. I stopped following more blogs because I cannot manage it anymore to read all posts which I think is a sign of respect and appreciation. Of course, there is life too … but basically. Again, great and very detailed interview!
I hope it is ok that I commented here because I won’t bother to type such a comment on my phone… lol! I left a like but I don’t know if it was set. I couldn’t see the page loading after I left the like. If that is a self-hosted page it can be acting strangely. Anyway, great interview and compliment to both of you!

Great Erika! I even wonder how we all have been knit to have come across each-other so well.
Yes our thoughts do match and its like ‘the birds of the same feather flock together’.
So, it was your experience too. I feel they waste their time and so also ours, when meaninglessly they come and follow and disappear forever.
Erika very lately I have found one best thing on the Android Smart Phone after I downloaded the WP App, I can now browse and communicate fast and frequently, you know there is one Key Board option where you can swipe the words and they appear on your screen, you need not type or press the alphabets on the Key Board. Look for that option it may be on your phone itself or maybe you may have to download the Key Board App it works really fast. I am very happy using it.

I think there are many who think like you and I regarding Facebook… lol! Yes, I have that app on my phone and I use it for replying to comments… in case it doesn’t provoke a long one… lol! I am glad about the phone option but it is not a real alternative for me. I am simply not a phone blogger… lol. And I cannot stand typing on the phone… I am so clumsy and oh, all those typos!!

Great Shiva.. loved it…!! but one thing I’m still curious about is Where are you at present… you said mom’s a Marathi… and dad? I come from a cocktail family… national integration at its best… mom’s a Gujarati, dad’s an Assamese and I married a Punjabi 😃. I saw your furry buddies. They are handsome guys. My hugs to them. I have three of my own and they are all 8 yrs of age now. Other than these I have lots of strays- cats and dogs that I feed and look after. My furry buddies are my life Line… after we retire and go home I’ll start work with animal NGOs…

I feel the same about blogging. I am sometimes followed by people who I can tell could not really be interested in what I talk about, and who write poetry or talk about their angst … thankfully there are also some really interesting followers whose blogs I do follow. Have left a comment on your friend Jacqueline’s blog. Enjoyed the interview and photos of your family! I have 3 grown kids: two in computer programming and one a mental health nurse. And a grandson!

Hi Shiva, sorry to hear about your mother being ill and I hope she is well now. Demotenization did take a toll on everything in India I suppose and I hope things will be back to normal soon as I hear they are still far from that. Heading over Jackie’s to read your interview. Cheers 🙂

It was great to read this interview of yours! I am grateful to connect with you. When I first started on wordpress I was amazed at this world of treasure of genuine acknowledgments and space to be ourselves at our best through our writings. Though lately I was feeling a bit of confusion over some things, that you speak about, in your interview. I never felt a sense of accomplishment over the number of 100 followers that came my way because I value those who read and comment to me. 30 likes and a follow in a single minute confuses me. If I follow back, I would spend time diligently reading regularly …so it becomes important who I follow.
I believe every space, be it real or virtual, can be as real as we make it.

Pragalbha! I am too grateful having connected to a person who is and wants to be a genuine blogger. So you also had those experiences. That shows their inexperience and immaturity to do such an act, as if no one will understand. I am only worried about the purity and sanctity of blogging. This should not be another place for passing time and making fun. We should restrict and not encourage it.
In the beginning it was so difficult for me to get my first 50 follows. But I kept it steady and I now feel its the proper attitude.
Yes we must value our real readers and be thankful to them and be indebted to them.
Some come read and go they don’t even leave their foot steps. I do not understand with what mission they come. Hahaha

I truly appreciate your straightforwardness and also enjoy your lightheartedness 🙂 I was secretly getting a bit disappointed on wordpress, so I absolutely agree with you about the purity and sanctity of blogging. I am delighted to find company with some others and you …the space where we convey our deepest inspirations is sacred to me. Kate! I went and saw your blog and the Link to My Interview. I would want you to send me a mail in which we would discuss about further things which would make your Meet the Bloggers posts more interesting. My email is My name continous all small letters @ gmail.com.
I do not understand why you could not Reblog that post to yours. You just have to press on the Reblog icon there and it shall ask on which blog it has to be reblogged and you have to accordingly do it.
